I Heart Makeup, Makeup Revolution // Naked Chocolate review

So today's post is going to be reviewing a recent discovery of mine and a range of palettes that are the most perfect dupes for the Too Faced Chocolate Palette range. The Two Faced palettes are around £40 each; these dupes from a brand sold in Superdrug known as 'Make Up Revolution', are £7.99! Crazy I know! The range holds several palettes and all are dupes for the Too Faced range that everyone and their grandmother loves. The palette I liked the most is called 'Naked Chocolate'. I have green eyes so this palette which holds lots of shimmer shadows (my personal faves) plus pink and gold tones was my favourite out of the collection.

The packaging of the palettes is it's only downfall. You pay for cheap packaging in this sense and the packaging is ugly (in my opinion) plus made of plastic. But for the price you can hardly complain and it's not about the packaging. It's about whats inside!
The palette holds 16 shadows. 16! Which is also insane for the price. The shadows are pigmented, a range of beautiful colours and a good mixture of matte and shimmer shadows. The Naked Chocolate palette has 4 obviously matte shades that are all different ranges of brown. The rest are shimmer shadows and are primarily brown, gold and contain one gorgeous pinky/rose gold shadow that I have loved to death!

Overall I would really recommend this product. The shadows are really pigmented and stay put most of the day, with little fallout. Though they are probably not as good as the Too Faced palette (which I have only heard things about, not tried) the shadows are still good. The palette is beautiful for the price and holds a large mirror on the inside, plus comes with a cheap brush.
I'm not a matte shadow girl, but my favourite combination/look from this palette is Milky all over my lid and White through the crease and outer corner to darken up the look!

Get Ready With Me // Birthday Meal

Last night I went for a meal with loads of close friends to celebrate my best friends 16th birthday. She turned sixteen today. We went to Pizza hut last night and as it always is, the food was incredible!

Outfit:
My outfit is a khaki green playsuit with a long zip and button that goes down the back. It is a wrap around style with a fake belt at the front and is very comfy, with a low neck. It cost me £10 from Primark and is such a bargain! I saw it as I walked into Primark in Leicester city centre, on one of the models and fell in love with it. The colour really compliments my hair and makes my green eyes even greener. I paired this playsuit with a pair of plain black tights and my Topshop Chelsea Boots which are honestly my favourite shoes I've ever owned. Perfect for meals, days out, fancy or casual these black boots cost me £39 but I have definitely got my money's worth in terms of wear! I'm terrible at walking in flats, let only heels. This boots are only slightly heeled and have very thick padding inside to make walking easier and more comfortable. I also wore my old New Look 925 biker jacket, which I have had for a good three years now, but it still fits and is such a staple for me! I wore my rings, two Nomination bracelets and my two Alex and Ani bracelets, which are from a very popular Irish jewellery store.

Hair:
I curled my hair using a Babyliss curling wand. This link here; Curler, takes you to Amazon to view the curler. I actually brought mine from ASDA for £15 and in a deep pink a few years ago, and still use it now. It takes seconds to curl your hair and the heat goes very high. Honestly I brought it because it was so cheap for a well known brand and I don't regret my decision. The top high half of my hair is piled onto my head onto a messy bun and held in place by grips and a single thick hair bobble. Sometimes my messy buns aren't as messy as I'd like them to be, but lasts nights turned out quite well. This photo below shows my hair about a week ago, and though it was not taken yesterday the bun basically looked the same. I feel I've found the perfect way to master a messy bun for my hair now :)

Makeup:
And finally, my personal favourite part of getting ready; the makeup. I wore a very similar look to what I wear on an everyday basis, as I found this look really works for me. As you can see from the very posey photos below, accompanied by my squinting at the bright sun, my make up was very bronzed and sun kissed, matched with a bright red matte lip (perfect for eating!)

I started with my usual face base;
1. Nivea's Rich Moisturizing Day Cream for dry/sensitive skin
2. Primed just my chin area (as I often rub my make up off here the most!) using Benefit's Porefessional primer
3. Primed my eyelids using Collection Primed and Ready eye primer
4. Applied a small amount of Rimmel's Match Perfection to my chin, mouth/nose area, as I get quite red and spotty here. I don't feel the need to wear a full face of foundation, so just apply it where I think it is needed. Blended this using a Real Techniques Buffing Brush
5. Added Collection's Lasting Collection concealer in the lightest shade on top of the foundation to further conceal spots. Blended with the same brush. Then applied the same concealer under my eyes to cover my blue, dark circles and blended using my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge.
6. Set all this using a Natural Collection powder in transparent with Real Techniques Multi-Task Brush.
7. Contoured using the shade 'Chocolate' from my beloved W7 'In The Buff' palette. This is a matte brown shade and I use this eyeshadow as contour as I have never found a drugstore contour colour that is not orange under toned and suits my pale skin.
8. Benefit's Rockatuer blush swept across my cheeks using a slanted Amazon brush.
9. Highlighted using NARS Copacabana Illuminator/Highlighter, on my cheekbones, tip of my nose and cupids bow.

On my eyes;
All shadows except Addiction are from the W7 Pallete 'In The Buff'
Brushes used: Real Techniques Base Shadow brush, slanted eye Amazon brush and Real Techniques Shading brush
1. 'Camel' packed all over lid.
2. Inner corner lightened using 'Silk'.
3. Outer corner darkened using 'Dust'.
4. Crease defined using the tiniest bit of MAC's Addiction; a deep red, shimmer shadow.
5. A combination of Maybelline Lash Sensational and Benefit's They're Real on my top lashes. Lower lashes using just They're Real.
6. Lower waterline defined using Soap and Glory Smoulder Kohl black liner.

Eyebrows
1. Filled in with the lightest blonde shade from the Makeup Revolution Brow Kit.
2. Set using a Collection  clear brow mascara

And finally on my lips;
1. Outlined my lips using the KIKO smart lip pencil in 706
2. Matched this using the Soap and Glory matte lip crayon in 'Ember Red'

And there is my finished make up look!

Hope you enjoyed this get ready with me! I had a lovely time and the lipstick was a good option, as the red matched my outfit and look, but lasted most of the meal too!

Lipstick Collection April 2016

Collecting lipsticks may quite possibly be my all time favourite obsession. I have more lipsticks than I need and I personally think my collection is huge. Obviously I understand that some people will think my collection is tiny and others will think it is huge. Most of my lipsticks also tend to be very similar colours, so be aware of that! I'm going to take you through each row of my little lipstick holder and point out my favourites and just generally talk you through them. My lipstick storage is just acrylic lipstick storage from eBay that literally cost me something stupid like £1.50 and holds 24 lipsticks.

So the back row of this storage holds my taller lipsticks and lipliners.
From left to right;
1. Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker gloss stick in 'Nudist
2. Maybelline Colour Drama in 'Berry Much'
3. Collection Work the Colour lip butter in '4 Perfect Plum'
4. Sleek Matte Me lip cream in 'Birthday Suit
5. Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Matte Lip in 'Ember Red'
6. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in 'Romantic'

Overall, this row holds some of my favourite lippies. My all time favourite red lipstick and potentially all time favourite lipstick is no 6. This Revlon balm literally feels like I'm wearing lip balm. It is like the perfect red shade for me and just lasts so long. I can't say much more than that really; this lipstick is just the perfect red for me. It's perfect for Winter and Summer, meaning I wear it all year round. No 2 is also my perfect berry toned lipstick and lasts for so long.
One lipstick I do regret buying from this row is the no 3. I just don't really use this, as I have so many other perfectly berry toned lipsticks that I prefer.

This row also fits in my lip liners just in the gaps between the lipsticks.
From top to bottom of picture below:
1.Natural Collection lip liner in 'Plum'
2. Kiko lip liner in '315
3. Kiko lip liner in '706
4. Rimmel Exaggerate liner in 'East End Snob'
5. Rimmel Exaggerate liner in 'Ultimate'

First off, why did I buy no 5. It is literally a brown lip liner, Brown. I DON'T WEAR BROWN LIPSTICK, ESPECIALLY NOT THIS BROWN! So this is a 'I wish I didn't buy this' product. My favourite lip liner is no 4. LucyandLydia reccomend this all the time, as did my friend and I can see why! It's a gorgeous pinky rose colour and is the perfect lip liner to match MAC's Mehr lipstick.

The second row holds my least used lipsticks. I place the ones I use the least towards the back of the storage so they don't  get in the way.
From left to right:
1. Natural Collection lipstick in 'Rose Bud'
2. Natural Collection lipstick in 'Coral Shimmer'
3. Calvin Klein lipstick in 'Henna
4. AVON lipstick in 'Perfect Red'
5. Makeup Revolution lipstick in 'Colour Overdose'
6. Makeup Revolution lipstick in 'Dare to be different'

Most of these lipsticks were very cheap, so obviously aren't as good as some of my more expenisve ones. The Natural Collection and Makeup Revolution lipsticks were £1.99 each so aren't great quality and don't last very long. I mainly brought no 5 and 6 because of their gorgeous hot pink bullet shape, that reminds me of the MAC lipstick's packaging. The Calvin Klein lipstick is nice but not a good color on me; it's very baby pink. My favourite lipstick in this row is no 4. I wore this to my year 9 prom so it holds a lot of memories and is a beautiful colour. It is only in this row due to it's extremely dark colour which I find difficult to wear on an everyday bases.

The third row holds some of my favourite's and is basically Rimmel lipsticks. Rimmel lipsticks are my favourite drugstore brand for lipsticks; they last long, are relatively cheap and have such a wide beautiful range of colours. The Kate Moss collection are my favourite.
From left to right:
1. Rimmel lasting finish Kate lipstick in '01'
2. Rimmel lasting finish lipstick in '058 Drop Of Sherry'
3. Rimmel lasting finish lipstick in '128 Starry-Eyed'
4. Rimmel lasting finish Kate lipstick in '45'
5. Rimmel lasting finish Kate lipstick in '03'
6. Clinique Pop lipstick in 'Nude Pop'

As I said I love the Rimmel collection. My favourite is 03, as you can see from the photos below I have used a lot of it. For a very long time it was my go to nude. I regret buying '45', as it's not very pigmented and is actually paler than my own lips so doesn't suit me at all. It was part of a nude collection Rimmel released and honestly I was disappointed with this collection. I didn't like any of the lipsticks in this collection! I'm also not the biggest fan of '058' as it's very glittery, I don't use the Clinique one a lot, but it doesn't really matter; I got it free with a magazine!

The last row holds some of my favourites and newer lipsticks. In a way, row two and one are a combination of favourites and recent buys. I like to keep my most recently brought lipsticks on the front row, plus the ones that are most expensive. That way they are the first ones people see! It sounds stupid and it is stupid, but it's the way my little brain works okay? good!
From left to right:
1. Benefit's lipgloss in 'Hoola'
2. Benefit's lipgloss in 'Sugarbomb'
3. A FAKE MAC lipstick in the shade 'Diva'
4. Revlon matte lipstick in'003 Mauve It Over'
5. MAC matte lipstick in 'Velvet Teddy'
6. MAC matte lipstick in 'Mehr'

So yes, here i do have a fake MAC lipstick. I paid about £1.50 for it and knew it was fake before I purchased it. I was curious as to how real it would look in real life (pretty similar but very different sticker on the bottom) and wanted to know if I suited the colour. The colour of the fake Diva lipstick is very similar to the real Diva lipstick. I do actually wear this quite a lot and it's really good! But I won't be purchasing anymore fake lipsticks any time soon. The Benefit lip glosses are only here as they are new. I don't really like lipgloss so can't see myself wearing these much, especially as Hoola is a very brown lipgloss. As you know (see my previous posts) I love my MAC lipsticks. The Revlon lipstick is the first slightly more expensive lipstick I brought costing aroung £8 and I have had it for years. I LOVE IT. Until I got Velvet Teddy it was my go to nude lipstick and I still love it now. It is more pinky then Velvet Teddy and I love the fact that it is matte.

So there is my current lipstick collection! I am sure it will grow very soon. If you have a lot of lipsticks like me or want to start up a collection, I really recommend the Rimmel ones as drugstore lipsticks and MAC as high end ones. The two MAC shades I have are perfect for beginners too, as they are very muted, wearable colours. I also recommend buying an acrylic storage stand from eBay to get you started. It makes it so much easier to find the one you are looking for, especially in a rush.

Pretty Little Liars Quotes

One of my all time favourite tv shows and the love of my life for a good year or two now is the American tv show Pretty Little Liars. And today I'm going to be telling you why PLL is the perfect show to take quotes from.

1. For inspirational quotes
PLL has many inspirational characters and is full of inspirational quotes to suit it's target audience; after all, every teen loves a good inspirational quote.

2. Then there's those quotes that nobody really understands, but everyone LOVES. You know the ones I mean. The person that comes out with the most of these quotes from PLL is definitely Spencer. Closely followed by Ali...but then nothing she says makes sense

This is one of my favourite Spencer quotes and one that everyone loves and uses in any context, because NOBODY, I mean NOBODY knows what its means. But we lav it!

Well not to the point where I put on a dark wig and adopt a name from a book Ali
Like seriously, what are you chatting Ali?
3. And those quotes that you always see on Twitter and Facebook and in people's Instagram bios. I SWEAR TO GOD HALF THESE QUOTES WERE ORIGINALLY FROM THIS TV SHOW AND JUST STOLEN.

4. The funniest quotes alive; aka anything Hanna Marin says or does. Spencer quite often cracks me up to so creds to her for being the clever and slightly funny one.

Oh han

5. And finally, fashion advice quotes... also from Hanna Marin

And finally we will finish with quite possible my favourite PLL quote of all time. It sums up the show and life pretty good.

Let me know if you enjoyed this type of post, because I really enjoyed writing it. It reminded me of all the quotes I really use to love and brought back some funny memories that revolve around the show and it's incredibly aesthetic quotes.

My MAC products + reviews

I've managed to start up a little MAC collection in the last few months. I brought my first MAC product with my Christmas money and have since brought a few more products.

So today's post is going to show you my little MAC collection.

The first product I brought was the MAC lipstick in 'Velvet Teddy'. I feel like this is a staple in everyone's MAC collection, and everyone seems to have it. So it seemed like a good start. Velvet Teddy is basically the perfect nude, 'my lips but better' shade. It is quite a dark nude than a pinky nude and I love it. All the MAC lipsticks smell pretty good, a vanilla, lipstick sort of smell. They also taste pretty good too. Lipsticks that don't taste good really put me off wearing them.
The lipsticks cost £15.50 each, which I personally think is quite expensive, but honestly worth it for MAC lipsticks. Their matte lipsticks, as Velvet Teddy is a matte, last so long and can even last through meals and drinking.

The second item I brought from MAC was a 4x insert palette. This can hold 4 eyeshadows and has very sleek, simple packaging that looks sophisticated and elegant. This cost £5, which is cheap, but also not cheap when you think about it, as the palette doesn't come with any shadows. You have to fill the palette yourself and the MAC eyeshadows cost £10 each. I think this is ridiculous for a single pan eyeshadow, that is no bigger than a 2p coin. But I brought a shade I really love called 'Addiction'. This was my next MAC purchase and is a gorgeous deep red shimmer shadow. The pigmentation is great, but honestly I've had cheaper eyeshadows that are just as good. And I also know you can buy cheaper shadows that fit into the MAC pans, from brands such as Makeup Geek, Morphe and NYX. I do really love the shadow I brought from MAC, but I do recommend you do your research into a shadow you are looking at buying, as they are v expensive.

The forth and so far (but hopefully not for long!) final product I brought from MAC is my new obsession, It is currently my favourite lipstick, MAC's 'Mehr' lipstick is a gorgeous deep, rose pink that is just my perfect pink. I did my research before going into the MAC store and this shows just how much I wanted this lipstick; I was able to pick it out of the MAC lipstick stand instantly!
This also cost £15.50 and is a matte lipstick. This lasts even longer than the Velvet Teddy lipstick and literally stays on for several hours and doesn't dry the lips out, which makes it a great lipstick to wear to college.

Overall I love the MAC products I have brought so far and can't wait to buy more. I think MAC lipsticks are my new obsession and something I can't wait to make a collection out of! I know the price of MAC products are high, but start slow and build a mini collection up gradually. That's my best advice!
