Real Techniques brushes // Review

Real Techniques

Sorry I've not posted for a while, I've had a busy two months. My birthday was near the start of March and one of my Favourite presents was my Real techniques Brushes. The brushes are made by you tubers Sam & Nic Chapman, two lovely girls who are excellent advice givers for make up tips!
The brushes came in a rectangular, plastic box. the packaging was pretty simple, pictures of the Chapman sisters, info about them and a few website links. Next to the girls were 4 pictures of the brushes, with a decription of how they advise you use each brush. But the beauty of them is they can all work for several peices of make up, so you can use them however you like!

The first brush is the detailer brush, which is one of their smallest brushes. I use it for blending in concealer under the eye and over spots (my concealer is Lasting perfection by Collection). I also use it for eye shadow when needed!
The second brush is the pointed foundation brush. This brush is my favourite, and most commonly used if I'm honest ;) I use it as it says, to blend foundation into my face. I take my foundation from a pump (It's Match Perfection, in case anyone is wondering) and squeeze some onto my hand. I then take the brush and work it into my face. its a slightly smaller brush than you'd expect for foundation but it works fantastically!
The third brush is the contour brush. I've only just turned 14, so i still tend to use as little make up as i can get away with. After all I don't want to plaster my face each day, my skin would be terrible! Because of this I don't use contour so this blush is used for my blush (Sleek blush in Rose Gold).
The final brush is the Buffing brush. I use this for my powder (Stay Matte by Rimmel). Lots of people have told me they feel this brush is too small for their face, but I feel it's perfect for me, because it doesn't overdo it. But the Buffing Brush can be used for other things.

Personally I love the Real Techniques Brushes and can't wait to expand my collection. The bristles are so soft and fine, but never come out like some cheap brushes. I use Johnsons baby shampoo, mixed with water to wash the brushes the occasional time and none of the bristles disappear. The brushes always return to their original shape when used, even after they're washed.
The brushes are slightly pricey for teens my age, especially if you don't get pocket money, but they are well worth it! The lot i have been talking about are called the Starter Kit and are priced at £15 on Amazon, £20 in Boots and similar drugstores.
I'd definitely recommend you go out and buy them! if you do, comment below and let me know if you liked them :)
